About the Service

Are You Still Open?

Yes. Our service is still running and treating patients whilst following national guidance.

Please do not visit us in person unless you have a Face to Face appointment. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone or email and we will be happy to help.

How will I be Treated?

We need to minimise face-to-face contact to reduce the spread of the illness and keep both patients and staff safe. This means that virtual appointments (telephone & video) have become the main way we now see patients. We are only seeing patients face to face where this is clinically necessary (as decided by your clinician).

Your first appointment will be by telephone or video. It will then be decided if you need to be seen Face to Face or if your treatment can continue by telephone/video.

For more information about virtual appointments visit our Your Appointment page.

What Can I Expect from a Face to Face Appointment?

This appointment will be for a physical assessment only. Any discussion after the assessment about findings and treatment will need to happen over the phone once you have left the department.

We ask you to arrive on time for your Face to Face appointment (not early). Your clinician will be in full PPE (mask, gloves, apron, visor/glasses) at all times during the appointment.

A letter will be sent out to you with all the details of your appointment as well as what will happen leading up to, and on the day of the appointment.
